Itinerary:
Your tour guide will meet you at the harbor - and will be holding a sign with your name on it; you will then begin your guided tour.
* Agiasos Village is built amphitheatrically on the eastern slopes of Mount Olympus. It is surrounded by arable land, olive groves, forests and steep, remote, and inaccessible areas. The keystones of Agiasos economy has always been its farming and handicraft production. Agiasos has a rich cultural legacy; thus, it is considered as the “mother of Lesvos folk tradition”.
* Church of the Virgin Mary, in Agiasos, is a three-aisled basilica surrounded by tall walls, as it once was a monastery. There are two neighboring museums, each dedicated to Byzantine and Folk art.
* Mytillini Archeological Museum: here, figurines, pottery and jewellery from the prehistoric period to the Roman era are displayed here. Heavy objects, like the unique Aeolic column capitals from the temple at Klopedi, as well as important inscriptions, funerary stelai, relief sculpture, as well as other statues and coins from the Archaic to the Roman period, are exhibited in the service building and the courtyard.
After that we will finish our tour at a wine shop, tasting wonderful local wine with Greek mezes (appetizers).
After the tour, we will provide a transfer to the harbor.
